{Heroes} Happens Here – Toronto

Yesterday I assisted to the launch of Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 and Visual Studio 2008. The event took place at the Direct Energy Centre with an approximated assistance of 4,000 peoples (this is for sure the biggest Microsoft launch I’ve been).

For the keynote we have a small introduction from Phil Sorgen (president of Microsoft Canada) and then Kevin Turner (COO of Microsoft) who gives really good keynote, because it was a mix between the speech and a demo.

The best new thing in this new version of Visual Studio is the ability to debug JavaScript, with the breakpoints, the watch and all you need. I think this is amazing. Windows Server 2008 it’s all about virtualized environments.

Toronto Autoshow 2008

Last Monday (family day here in Ontario) Laura and I went to Toronto Autoshow 2008 and because Laura is now working for KIA we both got free tickets for the show . During our 4 hours walk we saw different cars from Bentley, Ferrari, Lotus, Porsche, Maserati, BMW, Mercedes, Hyundai , Ford, GM, Mazda, KIA and a few others.

El lunes pasado (Día de la familia aquí en Ontario) Laura y yo nos fuimos al Toronto Autoshow 2008, y como Lau está trabajando en KIA, nos regalaron un par de entradas. Durante nuestras 4 horas de caminada vimos carros de Bentley, Ferrari, Lotus, Porsche, Maserati, BMW, Mercedes, Hyundai , Ford, GM, Mazda, KIA y algunos otros.

Let’s do it.

So, here I go with my personal blog, I started in this entire blogging thing 2 years ago with LoQueLeo.com where I used to write about articles I found surfing the web and the analysis from my point of view. Due to some “security restrictions” in my last job, I have to quit for a while with LQL.com, . But now since I moved to Canada and start my own company, things are getting better, so here I go again.

In this new blog I planned to make it much personal (just starring with the domain name), write about my adaptation to the Canadian life style, the job I’m doing now, besides some gadgets, ads and new technologies I read about.
