Is Apple sanctioning Rogers for iPhone rates?

A number of sources including Apple Insider are reporting that Apple is punishing Rogers for its steep iPhone rate plans by cutting down on the number of devices it will be sending north of the border.

According to sources close to the situation, Rogers’ stores may now be getting just 10 to 20 iPhones each and are being told to exercise caution not to promise ample stock on launch day

Rogers reveals the iPhone 3G plan – Not unlimited data on ANY plan.

As everybody thought the IPhone plans from Rogers requires their lovely 3 year contract, starting from $60 UP to $150, a lot more compared to the unlimited 3G data plans from ATT for business users that will cost $45 a month in addition to a voice plan.

As usual we always pay more here in Canada.

Does Your ISP Slow Down BitTorrent Traffic? [Test]

The guys from Torrentfreak.com release a test to verify if your ISP slows down BitTorrent traffic.

I’ve read that my ISP (Rogers) throttle BitTorrent traffic, but based on the results of the test and my latest checks of the upload/download speed of my torrents, Rogers has been a good boy : )
