GP Canada

Las Friday I took my cousins Sony Alpha DSLR-A200, and after a quick training to take pictures of “fast“ moving objects, I head on to Montreal for Canada’s GP. During my trip I was wondering if the 15 minutes training trying to catch some birds will help me on the track with a 325 Km/h Ferrari.

Saturday morning we all (my in-laws, my wife and I) woke up early, to leave the CRAPPY hotel I rent :s, and head on to Place-des-Arts our nearest subway station for the practice and pole position.

Once in the track I start testing the shutter speed of the A200 against the REALLY fast F1 cars to see if I catch a few of them freeze, so since it was a sunny day I start a 1/1000, but the details in the cars looks blurry, so I head on to the max 1/4000 and try to catch a car, but became extremely difficult because I want to take a close up to the car.

After about 45 pics with only an empty race track or a tiny part of the car I change the setting to continuous shooting and just wait for my lucky shoot and after a few laps with 130 of pics taken, I finally catch completely this gorgeous Ferrari at 1/400shutter speed.
